2024 Mondavi & Chadwick, Sena, Aconcagua 6x75cl
TA98WA97+
"The 2024 Seña continues the excellence that the entire Errázuriz range exhibits in this vintage, offering a graceful, effortless and underrated expression of Aconcagua. A rich bouquet of dark... fruits, fresh herbs and floral notes is brightened by a streak of rising camphor and sweet mint flourishes, introducing a suave, tense and seamless mouthfeel with classical proportions. Ultra-fine tannins and graphite-mineral notes surround the finish, lingering with an extra round of herbal and minty nuances. It is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Malbec, 16% Carmenère and 6% Petit Verdot that matured for 18 months, with 70% of the wine resting in barrels and 30% in foudre—this being the highest percentage to date."

£85 / Case£28.33 / BottleDuty Status: In BondAvailability: Immediate2024 Le Difese, Tenuta San Guido, Toscana 6x75cl
“The 2024 Le Difese is fresh, bright, and instantly inviting. Aromas of juicy red berries and plums jump out of the glass, followed by floral notes of rose, a hint of spice, and a soft touch of... sweet tobacco . It’s medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, with a smooth, easy flow that makes it a joy to drink even now. While Le Difese is often known for its ripe, fruit-forward style, the 2024 vintage brings a little extra freshness and elegance, giving the wine a lively, classic edge. Made from a 75/25 % blend of sangiovese from around the Chianti region and cabernet sauvignon grown on the estate this vintage really lets the sangiovese shine, adding energy, vibrancy and a sense of place from start to finish. A lovely addition for any medium-term cellar planning and when ready pull a cork for a seamless match to all grilled red meats.”

The 2024 Guidalberto shows a deep, vibrant ruby colour and opens with lifted aromas of blackcurrant, lavender and wild herbs, with a bright citrus twist that brings everything into focus. The palate... is fresh and well-balanced, with lively acidity and an already evident complexity with a subtle salty edge that keeps the wine feeling energetic and refined. The tannins are smooth and neatly woven in, carrying the flavours through to a clean, polished finish. There’s real depth here, but it never feels heavy—just beautifully composed, with a gentle sweetness balancing the freshness” Delightful as ever.

The purity and integrity of the fruit on the nose is impressive, with ripe strawberries, orange peel and hints of white pepper and dried herbs. It’s medium-bodied with crunchy fruit, lovely fruit tannins and a vivid finish. A mix of Dijon clones. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

2024 Domaine Rossignol-Trapet, Gevrey-Chambertin, Vieilles Vignes 6x75cl
"Includes the occasional bucket of 1er Cru grapes that could be found in Cherbaudes and Corbeaux. Mid ruby in colour. Very pleasing mixed red fruit on the nose, softer strawberry with some sucrosity on the palate, then some acidity before the refined tannins." Drink from 2029-2036. Fruit from Laurent's top vineyard of "La Grande Pièce" is matured half in 500 litre oak barrels and half in sandstone amphoras. Cuvée Lison shows off superb texture, full body and mineral tension around the elegant and fresh pear-scented core of fruit. Precise, savoury, begging for grilled chicken or sea bass.

The 2024 Montagny 1er Cru & Co may well be the finest we have ever tasted at this Domaine. Harmonious, perfectly balanced, with hints of beeswax on the rich texture, honeyed edges and lively citrus fruit, it is absolutely stunning. A great advert for the gorgeousness of the 2024 vintage for chardonnay.

Fresh, lively with an excellent spine of acidity which is matched beautifully by the juicy texture and well poised mid-palate. Saline notes come through on the finish. Lovely and an absolute bargain!

£75 / Case£12.50 / BottleDuty Status: In BondAvailability: En Primeur2024 Domaine Anne Gros, Bourgogne, Hautes Cotes de Nuits Blanc 6x75cl
Mathias is so happy with the whites produced in his Hautes Côtes vineyard above Nuits-Saint-Georges that he is replacing more of the plot's pinot with chardonnay. Following the domaine's tight and... mineral style, here is a white balancing fresh citrus and just a hint of stone fruit with a minerally edge on the finish. Excellent texture, refreshing and precise. Excellent.
£135 / Case£22.50 / BottleDuty Status: In BondAvailability: En Primeur2024 Domaine Joseph Voillot, Volnay Premier Cru, Champans 6x75cl
"The 2024 Volnay Les Champans 1er Cru has more lift and fruit concentration compared to the Fremiets: blackcurrants, raspberry and light violet scents billowing from the glass. The oak is well... integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, fresh and more peppery by comparison (like others, you might well misconstrue there being some whole cluster). Good grip on the spicy finish, this is another 2024 from the Domaine that surpasses the previous vintage." 91-93 pts., Neal Martin, vinous.com
£330 / Case£55 / BottleDuty Status: In BondAvailability: En Primeur2024 Domaine Joseph Voillot, Volnay Premier Cru, Les Caillerets 6x75cl
"The 2024 Volnay Les Caillerets 1er Cru has a tightly wound bouquet. I find more tension and precision on the Les Champans at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, the fruit... equidistant between red and black, with touches of dark chocolate and espresso in the background towards the finish. Good length; I would just like to see a bit more nervosité come through on the finish. But still a fine Volnay for mid-term drinking." 90-92 pts., Neal Martin, vinous.com
£330 / Case£55 / BottleDuty Status: In BondAvailability: En Primeur2024 Domaine Joseph Voillot, Volnay Premier Cru, Fremiets 6x75cl
"The 2024 Volnay Les Fremiets 1er Cru takes a few swirls of the glass to really settle. Red plum, cranberry and light floral scents manifest, nicely controlled and the oak here is nicely integrated.... The palate is svelte and harmonious with well-judged acidity, just a background simmer of spices that lead to a refined and quite persistent finish. Not a long-term Fremiets but this is well-crafted and if the aromatics can just gain a bit of oomph then this will complete the package." 90-92 pts., Neal Martin, vinous.com

"In bottle. His plots in Les Chaumes and Chambres have been assembled in 2024 and again in 2025 because of the small crops, and the blend works well he thinks. Chaumes has 60 year old vigorous vines,... Chambres is pinot fin, 15-year-old. A deepish crimson ruby colour. The fruit is altogether fresher than the Bourgogne. A fine even crunch to the finish, the pinot fin takes over at the back, to make a really pretty red Chassagne. Tasted Oct 2025." 90 points, Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com

"In bottle. Bright mid lemon colour. A touch of oak here as well as some candied citrus aromatics. The fruit is altogether more evident at the front of the palate and continues with energy through to a persistent finish. Drink from 2028-2031. Tasted Oct 2025."

Ample, powerful, expansive and aromatic, the ever-muscular and powerful Millandes yielded a wine of gorgeous harmony and balance in 2024, with just a hint of savoury, spicy character hinting at greater complexity when it reaches maturity. Impressively long finish - superb.

We discovered this lieu-dit Les Babillères this year and were impressed by the step up from villages towards a 1er cru level of depth; this vineyard at the very heart of the commune is the epitome... of Chambolle elegance and delicacy. Very impressive length at a fraction of the price of a 1er Cru. This is the Villages cuvée to go for.
