2021 Domaine de Chevalier, Blanc Cru Classe, Pessac-Leognan 6x75cl

DE95
“The 2021 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc, picked September 13–23 at 40hL/ha, has a captivating, complex bouquet of yellow flowers, white peach, wet limestone and just a faint hint of elderflower in... the background. The taut palate is well-balanced with a superb line of acidity. Conveying tangible energy from start to finish, this builds in the mouth toward a persistent finish that fans out gloriously. One of the best Domaine de Chevalier whites that I have tasted in 20-plus years.” 95-97, Neal Martin, www.vinous.com

2021 Chateau Mouton Rothschild Premier Cru Classe, Pauillac 6x75cl

DE96
"Gorgeous deep pink purple rim to the glass. The nose is bright and intense, heady with perfumed aromatics and edges of graphite, cocoa and sweet red cherries. Such clarity on the palate, excellent... tension from the get go with beautifully expressed cherry and strawberry fruit that has a soft, ripe fleshy core. The tannins are fine but plentiful, coating the mouth providing the structure and frame. This has such a sense of quiet confidence - it's not shouting so much but gently showing off its many layers of fruit, acidity, minerality and freshness. This really grows on you, expanding and deepening as the flavours travel across the palate, coming in waves. Understated and introverted at the moment but still harmonious and classy. I love it." 96 pts., Georgina Hindle, decanter.com

2021 Chateau Canon Premier Grand Cru Classe B, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 6x75cl

DE94-96
"Dark chocolate, perfume, violets, wild flowers and bramble berries on the nose, so much going on aromatically. Lovely succulence straight away, the bright acidity giving a mouthwatering effect and... really delivering in terms of vibrant and lively fruit forwardness but with these lovely edges of graphite, slate, bitter chocolate, cream and salinity. So elegant and so refined as well as super stylish. I also love the cooling menthol Cabernet aspects you get all the way through and on the long finish. This has real class, but also an effortless quality to it that is so remarkable. One of the most memorable wines of the vintage! 3.37pH. Both Canon, Rauzan-Segla and Berliquet are excellent achievements this year." 96 pts., Georgina Hindle, decanter.com

2021 Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux, Margaux 3x75cl

"Soft rose-touched blackcurrants, really quite delicate and pretty yet also expressive, the aromas clearly discernible in the glass with a vivid pink-purple rim. So smooth and quite sensuous, you get... the crushed velvet texture and thrashing acidity straight away, giving a round mouth, with these spikes of piquancy from the Petit Verdot. Really quite perfumed too. Vibrant with an excellent aromatic display and so much freshness. It’s on the tightrope - balancing the austerity and the plushness, the richness and the delicacy, the acidity and the structure. Tastes young and sparky, like a racing car ready to go, all energetic and buzzed. A great second wine. 4% Cabernet Franc completes the blend."

2021 Chateau Beychevelle 4eme Cru Classe, Saint-Julien 6x75cl

DE94
"Darkly herbal, spiced and perfumed nose. Supple, fruity, forward and lively, this has an initial vivacious and pulsing energy that settles giving some green pepper, eucalyptus and cedar notes as... well as liquorice and clove which then dominate the finish. It starts well, with such pace, and you feel the fruit has been well worked with tannins that are silky and fine. This has density and chew which I love as well as structure and backbone wine overall finesse. Great potential here." 94 pts., Georgina Hindle, decanter.com

NV Frerejean Freres, VV 26 6x75cl

RP94
£570 per 6 bottles IB "A blend of the 2009 and 2008 vintages, Frerejean Frères' NV Brut Blanc de Blancs VV26 was disgorged after eight years on the lees. Bursting from the glass with a rich... bouquet of dried citrus fruit, yellow apples, honeycomb, toasted bread and walnuts, it's full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with a frothy mousse and a generous, expressive palate that's underpinned by lively acids. This is showing beautifully in its somewhat old-fashioned style and comes warmly recommended. The VV26 is a blend of Chardonnay from Cremant, Avize and Oger—dominated by the former to the tune of 90%—from older parcels, some of which date back to 1926. It's the highlight of the range by some margin." 94/100 - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

2021 Chateau La Gaffeliere Premier Grand Cru Classe B, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 6x75cl

VM94-96
"The 2021 La Gaffelière was picked September 22 to October 15, and matured in 60% French new oak. There is a healthy 42% Cabernet Franc here. The nose is quite open with black cherry, blueberry and... touches of violet and peony; the oak is nicely integrated. In the mouth, this is medium-bodied with fine delineation, good focus and real midpalate weight. Conveying good intensity and vibrancy, this continues a strong run for this Saint-Émilion estate." 2020 Domaine William Fevre, Chablis Grand Cru, Preuses 6x75cl

BH90-93
“Aromas of quinine, essence of wet stone and seashore add breadth to the nose of pear, apple and anise. Once again there is fine density and intensity to the mouth coating medium weight flavors... that flash outstanding length on the bracingly saline suffused finale. This has already developed very good depth and more will also surely develop. This is potentially outstanding.” (Burghound)

2020 Domaine William Fevre, Chablis Premier Cru, Fourchaume 6x75cl

BH90-93
“An abundance of Chablis typicity is present on the aromas of mineral reduction, white orchard fruit, citrus zest and tidal pool. There is again very good volume and density to the medium-bodied... flavors that are unusually powerful for Fourchaume, all wrapped in a lemony and almost salty finish. This is quite promising and particularly so for a négociant offering... Outstanding," (Burghound)

2020 Domaine William Fevre, Chablis Grand Cru, Cote Bouguerots 3x150cl

“The 2020 Chablis Bougros Côte Bouguerots Grand Cru comes from two south-facing parcels on steep, sunny inclines. Proximity to the river keeps nighttime temperatures lower, maintaining acidity.... The intense nose features lemon thyme, crushed pebbles and sea spray scents. The palate sports a minor reduction, but there is fine depth here along with a keen line of acidity. Touches of white peach and nectarine emerge toward the minerally finish. Very fine.” Drink 2024-2042, 92-94 pts. Neal Martin, www.vinous.com

2020 Domaine William Fevre, Chablis Grand Cru, Bougros 6x75cl

VM92-94
The 2020 Chablis Bougros Grand Cru comes from six hectares of vines, southwest- and south-facing, forming the two different cuvées. The bouquet unfolds to offer lovely yellow fruit and oyster leaf... aromas, well defined and quite generous. The palate is taut and crisp with fine acidity and moderate depth, but very pretty and composed toward the saline finish. There is plenty of substance already in situ and I foresee this aging with class.

2020 Domaine William Fevre, Chablis 6x75cl

VM87-89
The 2020 Chablis Village comes from 50 different plots around 50 years old, the majority planted at the end of the 1960s. The simple but well-defined bouquet of Granny Smith apples is light and airy.... The palate is crisp and taut with citrus lemon and saline notes. Very citric on the finish, and not long, but it conveys satisfying energy at this level.

2021 Chateau Giscours 3eme Cru Classe, Margaux 6x75cl

RP93-95
"The 2021 Giscours is immensely promising and shows just how far this important estate has come in the last few years. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of cassis, dark berries, cigar wrapper,... violets, sweet forest floor and burning embers, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with terrific depth at the core, ripe tannins, lively acids and a long, penetrating finish. With wines like this, we're back to a level of quality that Giscours hasn't routinely attained since the 1970s! The blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot; and even if by the standards of the last decade, that isn't a particularly elevated percentage of Cabernet, this is nonetheless a very Cabernet-driven wine in style. Tasted six times." 93-95 pts, William Kelley, www.robertparker.com

2020 Chateau Meyney, Saint-Estephe 6x75cl

RP90-92
"Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Meyney springs from the glass with lively notes of red and black cherries, cassis and pencil shavings, plus touches of clove oil and bay leaves.... Medium-bodied, the elegantly fruited palate delivers impressively pure black and red fruit layers with ripe, fine-grained tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing savory. A very impressive showing for what remains a relative bargain!" 90-92 pts., Lisa Perrotti-Brown, robertparker.com

2021 Chateau Senejac, Haut-Medoc 6x75cl

VM88-90
"Floral and brightly scented with such clarity on the nose, so expressive but delicate too. I like the clarity here, it's not weighty or particularly textured but so refined on the palate, really... just gentle but so charming. So well worked with a grace of flavours where nothing sticks out but nothing too heavy either. I really like this - it's not trying too hard, still with acidity, red berry fruits and some chalky tannins. 4% Petit Verdot completes the blend." 88 pts., Georgina Hindle, decanter.com
