2017 Chateau Pichon Baron 2eme Cru Classe, Pauillac 6x75cl

RP95
"Composed of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 80% new, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Pichon-Longueville Baron slips sensuously out of the glass... with provocative cherry preserves, baked raspberries and fresh blackcurrants scents, leading to nuances of red roses, charcoal, tilled soil and cardamom plus a waft of forest floor. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegant, refreshing and refined, with a compelling line of soft, grainy tannins and lots of perfumed accents, finishing fragrant." 95 pts., Lisa Perrotti-Brown, robertparker.com

2018 Chateau Haut-Bages Liberal 5eme Cru Classe, Pauillac 6x75cl

VM94
"The 2018 Haut-Bages Libéral is super-impressive right out of the gate. It shows all the depth and intensity I saw from barrel, with maybe a bit more tannic impact. Ripe red cherry, plum, orange... peel, cedar and sweet spice all build in the glass. The 2018 is going to need a few years to come into its own, but it is a gorgeous Pauillac." 94+ pts., Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com

2017 Domaine de Chevalier, Blanc Cru Classe, Pessac-Leognan 6x75cl

DE94
"Punching at the top of the appellation. Herbal notes of rosemary and sage. Peach and nectarine palate, with a slatey finish. A great wine that will age. There was frost here, but Chevalier was prepared." 94 pts., Jane Anson, decanter.com

2018 Domaines Barons de Rothschild & Nicolas Catena, Caro, Mendoza 6x75cl

VM95
Formed in 1999, Bodega Caro (precious in Spanish) represents a partnership between two of the wine world’s more elite profiles pursuing the supreme expression of their respective legacies and in... terms of Mendoza-based terroir. In more tangible terms, this means producing and blending the purest, most sublime Mendoza cabernet sauvignon and malbec their combined expertise and experience can accomplish. Authentic Argentinian identity with world-class Bordelais style. In maturation, the wine generally spends 18 months in oak, 80% of which new, and interestingly, blending proportions can vary dramatically, depending upon vintage conditions. In the case of the 2018 Caro, it is 76% malbec and 36% cabernet sauvignon, both coming from Paraje Atlamira in the Uco Valley.

2018 Enzo Boglietti, Barolo, Case Nere 6x75cl

Bright ruby colour. Alluring aromatics of red fruit, liquorice and some mineral notes. Classically structured with an exquisite density, the tannins are beautifully evident but fine and very pleasant. The clay portion of the soil is responsible for the robust structure while the clay patches provide for the freshness and balance of aromas.

2018 Enzo Boglietti, Barolo, Brunate 6x75cl

Bright ruby colour with an orange hue. Plentiful aromatics of cherry, violet, tobacco and liquorice. The palate delivers the same exuberance of the bouquet and shows an abundance of fine,... ripe tannins. Balanced and harmoniously structured has a long and and vibrant finish. The silty clay soil with little organic matter is responsible for the powerful yet austere structure, the large clay patches give the complexity of flavours and aromas.

2018 Chateau Tronquoy-Lalande, Saint-Estephe 6x75cl

JR18.5
“The 2018 Tronquoy-Lalande is powerful and also inviting, with layers of dark-toned fruit that envelop the palate. Blackberry, gravel, spice, menthol, licorice, scorched earth and leather all flesh... out in the glass. As it was from barrel, Tronquoy is a dark, somber wine. It has enough sheer richness to develop well for another 10-15 years, maybe more.” 92 pts., Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com

2019 Jean-Luc Colombo, Cote Rotie, La Divine 6x75cl

"Real intrigue on the nose with the viognier imbuing red apple skin to contrast syrah’s olive-black fruit, sweetly spiced notes and hints of smoke. On the palate juicy, sweet/dark fruit, with a... recurring streak of apply viognier and pepper. Well-structured, round, superbly concentrated; great length, juicy, with a generous, peppery finish." Mr.Wheeler tasting note (Available for dispatch early July 2022)

2018 Jean-Luc Colombo, Cornas, Les Ruchets 6x75cl

RP94
"Maybe a touch more concentrated than Colombo's la Louvée bottling but also having a slightly coarser, more open-knit texture, the 2018 Cornas les Ruchets leads off with hints of mint, fennel,... crushed stone and blackberries. It's full-bodied and rich, expansive and generous without crossing over into being jammy, with savory notes of black olives and roast meat to balance out the ripe fruit and a lingering, softly tannic finish.” 94 pts., Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com (Available for dispatch early July 2022)

2018 Jean-Luc Colombo, Cornas, La Louvee 6x75cl

RP93
“Summer-like scents of crushed stone, dusty roads, dried herbs and wild blackberries appear on the nose of the 2018 Cornas la Louvee. Looking much better from bottle than a pre-bottling sample I... tasted in Cornas, it avoids any sense of jammy excess. Medium to full-bodied, it's supple and ripe, smooth and easy to drink, with a long, silky finish that adds savory hints of beef and anise.” 93 pts., Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com. 2018 Chateau Laroque Grand Cru Classe, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 6x75cl

VM92
"The 2018 Laroque fulfills the promise it showed from barrel last year. It has an irresistible bouquet of layered black cherry and blueberry fruit, fresh and lively with beautifully integrated oak.... The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity and a spicy, black-pepper-tinged finish that feels ever so slightly attenuated. Give this 3–4 years in bottle if you can." 92 pts., Neal Martin, www.vinous.com
