2020 Chateau Palmer 3eme Cru Classe, Margaux 6x75cl

VM96-98
"The 2020 Palmer, which was matured in 65% new oak, possesses one of the most perfumed bouquets of the vintage with entrancing, seductive scents of black cherries, wild strawberry, iodine and crushed... violets, all beautifully delineated (as per usual). The palate is medium-bodied with fine but quite firm tannins, lending this Palmer more backbone than presupposed. Blackberry, graphite and touches of liquorice develop with aeration that build towards an assertive, pencil box-tinged finish that nods towards Pauillac. This is a Palmer destined for long-term ageing, so readers should have a cool damp cellar handy. It is a serious Palmer, very different from the previous two vintages, not a mix of the two, but content in just being itself." 96-98 pts. Neal Martin, www.vinous.com

2020 Chateau Labegorce, Margaux 6x75cl

RP89-91
"The 2020 Labégorce is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, aging in French oak barrels, 40% new. The alcohol is 14%. Medium to deep purple-black in... color, it slides out of the glass with open-knit scents of redcurrant jelly, kirsch and black raspberries, plus hints of bay leaves and lavender. The medium-bodied palate is refreshing and elegant with plenty of vivacious red berry flavors and a soft texture, finishing with an herbal lift." 89-91 pts., Lisa Perrotti-Brown, robertparker.come

2022 Chateau Giscours 3eme Cru Classe, Margaux 6x75cl

JA95VM95-97WI94-96
“The 2022 Giscours was picked between 1 and 29 September, one of the earliest ever, with no SO2 added until blending and using bio-protection (yeasts) to protect the must. It has a delightful and... sensual bouquet with lifted, violet and peony-scented blueberry and black cherry fruit. This is very well-defined and perhaps the purest I have encountered from barrel. The palate is medium-bodied with a disarming silky texture, harmonious and focused. It's mineral-driven with a poised and pixelated finish. Certainly, this represents one of the best wines from this Margaux estate in recent years, echoing their golden period of the 60s and early 70s. Tasted twice with consistent notes. ” Drink 2030-2070. 95-97 pts., Neal Martin, vinous.com (May2023)

2022 Chateau d’Issan 3eme Cru Classe, Margaux 6x75cl

WI95-97+
“A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, and 1% Petit Verdot, with a yield of 30 hl/ha and aging in 50% new oak, d’Issan 2022 has a pH of 3.67 and a TPI of... 72. It is deep garnet-purple in color and comes bounding out of the glass with exuberant notes of crème de cassis, baked blackberries, and plum preserves, plus suggestions of tilled soil, clove oil, candied violets, and charcoal. The full-bodied palate has a firm structure of wonderfully ripe, fine-grained tannins and lovely tension supporting the dense, muscular black fruits, with a long finish and loads of floral and mineral sparks. Beautiful!” 95-97+ pts., Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, The Wine Independent

2022 Chateau Rauzan-Segla 2eme Cru Classe, Margaux 6x75cl

JA97VM95-97WI97-99
“Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2022 Rauzan-Segla is made from 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot, aging for 18 months in French oak, 50% of it new. A little swirling... unleashes an explosion of black and red currant jelly, wild blueberries, and chocolate-covered cherries, giving way to a fragrant undercurrent of violets, underbrush, and crushed rocks with a touch of star anise. The full-bodied palate is built like a brick house and crafted like a Chanel suit, with a firm backbone of super-ripe, grainy tannins and impressive tension supporting a gorgeous array of floral, spice, and black fruit layers, finishing very long and with impeccable grace. pH 3.7.” 97-99 pts., Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, The Wine Independent (May 2023)

2021 Chateau Siran, Margaux 6x75cl

JR16.5
"60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 11% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc. Cask sample. Smudgy rim and mid crimson. Not too dense and quite Margaux in build. Fresh with sufficient ripe fruit for the... far-from-excessive acidity. Quite long and subtle with a bone-dry finish. A transparent wine not as intricately woven as the Rauzan-Ségla but a very typical Margaux. A decidedly pretty wine and I know from experience how well Siran can age…" 16.5 pts., Jancis Robinson

2021 Chateau Angludet, Margaux 6x75cl

“Mid crimson. Rather alluring ripe nose. Very soft and round. Not a long-distance runner but a true Margaux-style wine for early drinking. There’s even a hint of an ethereal quality about this.” Drink 2025-2034. 16 pts., jancisrobinson.com

2021 Pavillon Rouge du Chateau Margaux, Margaux 3x75cl

"Soft rose-touched blackcurrants, really quite delicate and pretty yet also expressive, the aromas clearly discernible in the glass with a vivid pink-purple rim. So smooth and quite sensuous, you get... the crushed velvet texture and thrashing acidity straight away, giving a round mouth, with these spikes of piquancy from the Petit Verdot. Really quite perfumed too. Vibrant with an excellent aromatic display and so much freshness. It’s on the tightrope - balancing the austerity and the plushness, the richness and the delicacy, the acidity and the structure. Tastes young and sparky, like a racing car ready to go, all energetic and buzzed. A great second wine. 4% Cabernet Franc completes the blend."

2021 Chateau Rauzan-Segla 2eme Cru Classe, Margaux 6x75cl

DE96
"A showstopper of a wine for me in 2021. Wonderful aromatic intensity on the nose filled with perfumed fruits, chocolate and wild flowers. Gorgeous clarity and precision, the tannins are fine and... powdery supporting the vibrant and energetic purple and black fruit; zingy blackcurrant, strawberry, cherry and plum with an overall creamy chalky texture and grip. Elegant and glamorous - so much styling on show, it feels polished and pristine with clear markings from the terroir but no harshness or austerity just great acidity and liveliness. Such mouthwatering salivation and lift at the end making you want another glass just to taste it again. Tasted twice and both times I loved it. Pure and precise with everything you want from a 2021." 96 pts., Georgina Hindle, decanter.com

2020 Chateau Giscours 3eme Cru Classe, Margaux 6x75cl

"A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot, the 2020 Giscours reveals a deep garnet-purple color and compelling notes of crushed redcurrants, plum preserves and Morello cherries, leading to... hints of lavender, wild sage, damp soil and black truffles with a touch of licorice. The medium-bodied palate bursts with vibrant red and black fruits and lots of savory accents, supported by soft, very well managed tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing on a lingering fragrant earth note." 92-94 pts., Lisa Perrotti-Brown, robertparker.com

2018 Chateau Marquis de Terme 4eme Cru Classe, Margaux 6x75cl

VM90-93
"The 2018 Marquis de Terme is pliant, racy and inviting. Silky tannins and plush, forward fruit add to the wine's undeniable appeal and sense of immediacy. Although not especially complex, this racy,... fruity Margaux has a ton to offer. Best of all, it will drink well with minimal cellaring. Tasted two times." 90-93 pts., Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com
