Mathias is so happy with the whites produced in his Hautes Côtes vineyard above Nuits-Saint-Georges that he is replacing more of the plot's pinot with chardonnay. Following the domaine's tight and... mineral style, here is a white balancing fresh citrus and just a hint of stone fruit with a minerally edge on the finish. Excellent texture, refreshing and precise. Excellent.

Red plum, cranberry and light floral scents manifest, nicely controlled and the oak here is nicely integrated.... The palate is svelte and harmonious with well-judged acidity, just a background simmer of spices that lead to a refined and quite persistent finish.
