2018 Chateau Moulin Saint-Georges, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 6x75cl

VM93
"The 2018 Moulin Saint-Georges is packed with inky blue fruit, lavender, spice, mocha and licorice. Succulent and racy to the core, the 2018 offers tons of immediacy and charm. Silky tannins, soft... curves and tons of sheer allure make Moulin Saint-Georges a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next two decades. This joyous Saint-Émilion is a jewel of a wine." 92 pts., Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com

2018 Chateau Meyney, Saint-Estephe 6x75cl

VM93
"The 2018 Meyney is every bit as impressive as it was en primeur. Technical Director Anne Le Naour has done a terrific job in reining in some of the excess weight and power of previous vintages, but... without sacrificing richness. Classy and layered, Meyney boasts fabulous depth and tons of character. Ripe red/purplish fruit, spice, blood orange, smoke and incense are some of the many aromas and flavors that mesh together. The 2018 offers striking immediacy, but also has enough structure to develop well in bottle for 15-20 years, maybe more. The 2018 Meyney is a wine of immense pleasure. Best of all, it is a tremendous value." 93 pts., Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com

2018 Chateau Gloria, Saint-Julien 6x75cl

VM93
"The 2018 Gloria has a wonderful, harmonious bouquet of copious blackberry, briary, cedar and tobacco notes that just feels so... effortless. The very harmonious palate offers pure black fruit laced... with graphite. Displaying moderate weight and fine acidity, and quite linear and focused on the finish, this is a very classy Gloria that may warrant a higher score down the line." 93 pts., Neal Martin, www.vinous.com

2018 Chateau Batailley 5eme Cru Classe, Pauillac 6x75cl

VM93
The 2018 Batailley, matured in 60% new oak, is almost identical on the nose as I found it in barrel, decked out with attractive black cherries and cassis notes, the cedar element a little heightened... and freshly rolled tobacco notes developing with aeration. Very fine delineation here, and the oak is well integrated. The balanced palate offers fine tannins that frame the blackberry and bilberry fruit. The salinity comes through nicely on the finish, which is less silky than before, but it waves adieu with a long spicy aftertaste. Very fine and very Batailley. 93 pts., Neal Martin, www.vinous.com

2019 Chateau Moulin Saint-Georges, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 6x75cl

VM93
"The 2019 Moulin Saint-Georges is another wine in this range from the Vauthier family that shows decidedly mid-weight structure. Bright acids are especially present today. Moulin Saint-Georges is an... understated wine that isn't especially obvious today, but that appears to have quite a bit of potential once it fully comes together. I especially like the vibrancy here." 90 pts., Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com

2019 Chateau Duhart-Milon 4eme Cru Classe, Pauillac 6x75cl

VM93
"The 2019 Duhart-Milon is bold, juicy and explosive, but also a bit hard in its tannin. I thought some of that austerity would start to resolve with élevage, but it has not, at least not yet. Dark macerated cherry, spice, tobacco and strong Cabernet Sauvignon inflections power through to the finish." 92 pts., Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com

2019 Chateau d’Armailhac 5eme Cru Classe, Pauillac 6x75cl

VM93
"The 2019 d'Armailhac is impeccable, just as it was from barrel. Sweet red cherry, blood orange, mint and cinnamon all run through the 2019, but it is brightness and energy I admire most. The purity... of the fruit is compelling, as is the wine's balance. The 2019 was the last vintage made in the old facility. It will be fascinating to see where the Mouton takes d'Armailhac from here." 91 pts., Antonio Galloni

2019 Chateau Chasse-Spleen, Moulis en Medoc 6x75cl

VM93
"The 2019 Chasse-Spleen is super-classy right out of the gate. Medium in body and articulate, the 2019 impresses with its persistence and impeccable overall balance. Dried leaves, tobacco, mint,... herbs and bright red-fleshed fruit all come together, while attractive floral and spice notes extend the finish. What a beautiful wine this is." 91 pts., Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com

2019 Alter Ego, Margaux 6x75cl

VM93
"The 2019 Alter Ego de Palmer has a classically styled bouquet featuring a mélange of red and black fruit, briar, hints of cedar, and a touch of black tea, all showing lovely delineation. The palate... is fresh and vibrant, displaying a touch of sour cherry on the granular-textured opening. There is something very "old school" about this Alter Ego in contrast to the 2018. Very saline toward the finish, with good persistence." 93 pts. Neal Martin, www.vinous.com
