Made from grapes harvested from two tiny sites in Meursault, with vines of over 30 years of age, Marion masterfully crafts a wine of great power and finesse. Rich, complex and multi-layered flavours of citrus and lightly toasted almonds take you on a a delightful and expressive journey. It is direct and forceful, yet with an underlying and quite contradictory subtlety that make it absolutely fabulous!

We generally use specialised fine wine delivery couriers rather than standard couriers, giving a much higher level of care and accuracy in delivering fine wines safely to you. Wines can be delivered duty-paid to UK addresses upon payment of the required duty, VAT, delivery and storage charges (if applicable). Duty and VAT are as set by HMRC at the time of delivery. Delivery charges are based on number of cases to be delivered and are standard for all UK addresses except highlands and islands. Please ask for a quotation for highlands and islands, transfers to another bonded warehouse and for international transfers.

Mr.Wheeler’s Private Reserves offer perfect storage conditions for your fine wine until you are ready to drink or sell it. Our in-bond facilities are temperature and moisture-controlled, fully insured at replacement value, and accessible whenever you want. At Mr.Wheeler’s specialist wine storage facility in Burton-Upon-Trent, all private client reserves are marked with a unique rotation number as required by HM Revenue & Customs for bonded goods. In addition, each case of wine is clearly identifiable, confirming your ownership.

Benjamin has been a good friend of ours since his days at Comte Armand, and his powerful, impressive winemaking style shines through in 2020 where concentration meets with backbone and guile in the... Creamy texture coats a deliciously rich core of citrus fruit, with notes of peach and just a little hazelnut. Factor in a long finish carried on a well-defined spine of acidity and here is a lovely, approachable Puligny village to enjoy in 2 to 3 years.

The 2020 Chablis Bougros Grand Cru comes from six hectares of vines, southwest- and south-facing, forming the two different cuvées. The bouquet unfolds to offer lovely yellow fruit and oyster leaf... aromas, well defined and quite generous. The palate is taut and crisp with fine acidity and moderate depth, but very pretty and composed toward the saline finish. There is plenty of substance already in situ and I foresee this aging with class.

Domaine Long-Depaquit can be traced back to 1791 when Jean Depaquit and his brother Simon moved to Chablis. They purchased vineyards and developed... their domaine into one of the most renowned producers of Chablis today. Now owned by Albert Bichot in Beaune, Domaine Long-Depaquit offers an impressive range of Premier and Grand Crus. A sustainable approach, limited yields and skilful winemaking creates incredibly invigorating and mineral-edged wines. ‘La Moutonne’, a monopole in the heart of the Grand Cru vineyards, between Vaudésir and Les Preuses is one of their most celebrated cuvées, known for its incredible precision, elegance and staying power. Whichever cuvée you choose, these are delicious, mineral rich Chardonnays of the highest order.
Opening the proceedings at a Bichot tasting in London, the 2020 La Moutonne quite simply blew us away. Crushed oyster shell and citrus on the nose, followed on the palate by a superb energy with an exquisite texture. Laser-like, yet with excellent weight and power on the long finish, this is very, very special.

Selected fruit from nine of the best “village” vineyards go into this outstanding cuvée. Together their terroirs complement each other, and with the masterful winemaking for which Jaques... Carillon is renown, gives a rich and elegant contender for premier cru quality in all but name.
It has a wonderfully ripe nose of classic lemon citrus fruit and is very precise with hints of butter and the whiff of a local boulangerie! This will be outstanding on arrival, but we beg you to give it some time.

Here is a 2020 Meursault that is broad, full-bodied, with impressively ample mouthfill, and one Sylvain produced as unapologetically powerful. A traditional Meursault that will particularly please fans of fully-sized Côte d'Or whites.

2020 Domaine Morey Coffinet, Bourgogne, Blanc 12x75cl
We discovered the wines of this Chassagne-Montrachet rising star (established in its current form "only" 30 years ago, although the family cellars date from the 16th century) for the first time in... 2020, and although we were immediately impressed by the portfolio of great vineyards the Morey family cultivate, it was upon tasting the wines with Thibault Morey that we fell in love with them. The estate is run according to biodynamic principles throughout. Thibault is one of the new generation of winemakers who, through precise, rigorous work and an open mind not only to traditional and modern techniques but also to different expressions of the Burgundy terroirs, produce truly exciting wines. These are wines that combine richness and power with complexity and elegance effortlessly, and they come highly recommended.
Very intensely citrussy yet with an elegant, pithy texture and a dry, mineral finish. This is a very serious Bourgogne Blanc that will age well for 3 to 5 years, developing more savoury complexity and length.
