A blend of grapes from four vineyards in the appellation where the vines are between 60 and 90 years old. This is wonderfully aromatic with whiffs of strawberry and brambles but also having a distinct discretion and subtlety that begs further ageing. Gentle hints of 30% new oak and a lovely tannic structure frames a truly excellent wine.

Tasting Notes
Jasper Morris 90-92
50% whole bunch vinification, and 25-30% new wood. A deeper crimson purple. The fruit swells on the bouquet, ripe cherry style, dominating the whole bunch element. A notable sweetness of fruit then freshened up with the white pepper tingle. Deep red cherry with a little strawberry, plump fruit right across the palate, very well balanced with impressive density. Medium plus persistence. [15/12/2021]

Cask sample. Fine tannins. Typical earthiness of Gevrey. Crisp dark fruit. Elegant and textured. A classy village Gevrey. [14/01/2022]
