Siblings Anne and Hervé Sigaut manage a domaine established at the dawn of the 19th Century, yet they have embraced modern winemaking practices where it makes sense, balancing heritage and 21st century know-how beautifully. The leitmotif here is one shared with many of the top addresses up and down the Côte d’Or – “great wine is made in the vineyard”. The attention to detail and perfectionism are impressive, and yield perfect fruit, which is dealt with with the utmost delicacy and respect in the winery, by a team very mindful of what Chambolle-Musigny is all about – delicacy, elegance and silky texture. This is a new domaine to us this year, and we are very excited to bring these wines to you.
Silky, juicy texture, dominated on the palate by a lovely red fruit core and subtle hints of white pepper, followed by a wonderful energy on the finish, this is a truly lovely Chambolle Villages.
