An exciting new addition to our offer last year, and continuing on good form in 2020, Domaine Du Pavillon is located south of Pommard in the Côte de Beaune. Just as at Domaine du Clos Frantin in Nuits-Saint-Georges, they practice organic viticulture with an ongoing respect for the complex equilibrium found in nature. The winery was modernized in 2016, allowing the vinification of more of the Côte de Beaune’s star single vineyard wines. From the 2019 vintage, all the wines from the estate bear the certified “organic wine” label.
A new addition to our portfolio, easily earning its place in our roster. The winemaker included some whole-bunch this year, giving this a lifted, aromatic and floral nose. This is a study in understated elegance and red-fruit driven, classy, delicate Burgundy – yet with plenty of subtle intensity and power on the finish. One for lovers of terroir-specific Burgundy.

We generally use specialised fine wine delivery couriers rather than standard couriers, giving a much higher level of care and accuracy in delivering fine wines safely to you. Wines can be delivered duty-paid to UK addresses upon payment of the required duty, VAT, delivery and storage charges (if applicable). Duty and VAT are as set by HMRC at the time of delivery. Delivery charges are based on number of cases to be delivered and are standard for all UK addresses except highlands and islands. Please ask for a quotation for highlands and islands, transfers to another bonded warehouse and for international transfers.

At Mr.Wheeler’s specialist wine storage facility in Burton-Upon-Trent, all private client reserves are marked with a unique rotation number as required by HM Revenue & Customs for bonded goods. In addition, each case of wine is clearly identifiable, confirming your ownership.

What does this one tastes like? Glorious! Dark, rich, juicy, mouth-filling with a beautifully-judged, delicately grippy structure. Superb.

One of Savigny’s oldest domaines, originally founded in 1529. Jean-Jacques has been producing wine here as the sole proprietor since 1998, and with significant recent investment in the cellar and... winery he is producing outstanding wines. With his long experience of viticulture, Jean-Jacques firmly believes that the best wines are made in the vineyard and thus focuses his efforts on optimising the quality and health of the grapes themselves. This effort is reflected in his delightfully supple, elegant and classic wines, with his Savigny and Corton releases of particular note in 2020.
Jeane-Jacques Les Serpentières offers such great value. Opulent and concentrated raspberries and cassis are intertwined with hints of sweet-scented oak and velvety tannins. Outstanding.
