Once again Aurélien demonstrates his superb understanding of terroirs, and handles the fruit in such a way as to produce a textbook Vosne, all velvet, raspberry coulis and white chocolate. There is excellent structure here, and it is built to age gracefully for the next decade easily.

We generally use specialised fine wine delivery couriers rather than standard couriers, giving a much higher level of care and accuracy in delivering fine wines safely to you. Wines can be delivered duty-paid to UK addresses upon payment of the required duty, VAT, delivery and storage charges (if applicable). Duty and VAT are as set by HMRC at the time of delivery. Delivery charges are based on number of cases to be delivered and are standard for all UK addresses except highlands and islands. Please ask for a quotation for highlands and islands, transfers to another bonded warehouse and for international transfers.

Mr.Wheeler’s Private Reserves offer perfect storage conditions for your fine wine until you are ready to drink or sell it. Our in-bond facilities are temperature and moisture-controlled, fully insured at replacement value, and accessible whenever you want. At Mr.Wheeler’s specialist wine storage facility in Burton-Upon-Trent, all private client reserves are marked with a unique rotation number as required by HM Revenue & Customs for bonded goods. In addition, each case of wine is clearly identifiable, confirming your ownership.

An exciting new addition to our offer last year, and continuing on good form in 2020, Domaine Du Pavillon is located south of Pommard in the Côte de Beaune. Just as at Domaine du Clos Frantin in... Nuits-Saint-Georges, they practice organic viticulture with an ongoing respect for the complex equilibrium found in nature. The winery was modernized in 2016, allowing the vinification of more of the Côte de Beaune’s star single vineyard wines. From the 2019 vintage, all the wines from the estate bear the certified “organic wine” label.
A new addition to our portfolio, easily earning its place in our roster. The winemaker included some whole-bunch this year, giving this a lifted, aromatic and floral nose. This is a study in understated elegance and red-fruit driven, classy, delicate Burgundy - yet with plenty of subtle intensity and power on the finish. One for lovers of terroir-specific Burgundy.

From the Pierre Virant sector of Morey comes this delicious, blueberry-scented, richly-fruited blockbuster cuvée. Opulent with excellent energy and plenty of spicy character, this is a particularly approachable village Morey and will be drinking beautifully in 3 to 5 years.

From his modest winery hidden off the beaten track in the little village of Arcenant in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits, Aurélien Verdet crafts wines of astonishing purity and precision. A highly... talented young winemaker whose following is growing steadily every year, Aurélien is no exception to the adage that “Great wine is created in the vineyard”. Indeed, he lavishes great care and attention on his 5.5 ha of vines, which he farms organically to produce fruit of superb quality. The winemaking is then all about respecting that fruit to bring the terroir through, which he does with great aplomb. A rising star to watch!
Wonderfully expressive with notes of violets and white pepper, Aurélien's is a characterful, full-bodied and powerful Morey Villages. The warm conditions yielded a lovely opulence to the fruit, and it shows the typical spicy element one can expect of this commune's wines, with added aromatic flourish courtesy of Aurélien's careful winemaking. A very fine villages cuvée.
