“From a tiny parcel of old vines in Monts Luisants, the 2019 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru opens in the glass with aromas of sweet berries, raw cocoa, cassis, orange rind, spices and petals. Full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it’s serious and tightly wound, with lively acids and considerable reserves of fine, chalky tannins. Long and mineral, this will be well worth seeking out.” 93-95 pts., William Kelley, robertparker.com

The miniature holding of two ouvrées has provided just one 350 litre barrel, new wood, which was bottled by hand just a few days before I tasted. A very pleasing purple with huge density in the centre. The barrel is making little if any impact. It is ripe though, hedonistic strawberries with quite a punch to finish. Superb length though, and very good tensile strength, with a range of deep red to blue fruits. [15/04/2021]
Delivery
We generally use specialised fine wine delivery couriers rather than standard couriers, giving a much higher level of care and accuracy in delivering fine wines safely to you. Wines can be delivered duty-paid to UK addresses upon payment of the required duty, VAT, delivery and storage charges (if applicable). Duty and VAT are as set by HMRC at the time of delivery. Delivery charges are based on number of cases to be delivered and are standard for all UK addresses except highlands and islands. Please ask for a quotation for highlands and islands, transfers to another bonded warehouse and for international transfers.
Please read our Delivery page for more details.
