2021 Yves Boyer-Martenot, Auxey-Duresses, Les Ecussaux 6x75cl

"A new addition to our portfolio from one of the up-and-coming appellations in the Côte d'Or, Vincent's Auxey-Duresses is a blend of 50% 1er Cru fruit and 50% Villages fruit. Pretty, aromatic and... juicy with a lovely weight on the mid-palate and lightly grippy, raspy tannins. Joyful and eminently gluggable yet there is a serious, structured edge that will see it reach its peak at 5-6 years old. " (Mr.Wheeler tasting note)

2021 Boyer Martenot, Bourgogne, Blanc 6x75cl

"Vincent's Bourgogne Blanc is quite simply gorgeous this year. Great intensity of flavour thanks to the super-low yields, yet the acidity is lively and the long ageing in concrete eggs has gifted... this cuvée with superb balance and harmony even at this relatively early stage. Fresh, long on the finish, we just wish we had more to offer! Yum." (Mr.Wheeler tasting note)

2021 Boyer Martenot, Bourgogne Aligote 6x75cl

"Aligoté. A grape variety that is often ignored or overlooked, but one very much on the rise across the Côte d'Or, and which can be a real delight in the hands of top producers. Vincent’s lovely... example comes from vines in the Meursault region but located on richer and more fertile soils than those reserved for his chardonnay and pinot noir. Deliciously fresh and uplifting with a perfume of apricots and pear, it is a clean and mouth-watering aperitif wine which will also complement seafoods and salads. This could become your new “house wine!” (Mr.Wheeler tasting note)

2021 Domaine Lecheneaut, Marsannay, En Sampagny 6x75cl

Situated at the southern end of the Marsannay commune, adjacent to its arguably better-know next door neighbour Fixin, this is a classic example of how the appellation can excel. A restrained and... delicate nose of ripe hedgerow fruits leads into a delightfully powerful central core of blueberry and a touch of cherry on the palate. The balance of great juicy acidity (so typical in this vintage) and robust fruit-coated tannins suggests a wine for the medium to longer haul, but one that is unquestionably worth the wait. 2021 Domaine Lecheneaut, Bourgogne, Pinot Noir 6x75cl

The wines of the Hautes Côtes de Nuits have been particularly delightful in the past few vintages, and this example from Léchéneaut in 2021 is no exception. Deep and complex on the nose with... whiffs of dark cherry and a hint of anise leads to a palate packed with expressive berry fruit. There is, however, an underlying delicacy and zing of acidity that completes this truly lovely wine. Go search out some confit de canard and settle in for something quite delicious. Chapeau Vincent! 2021 Claudie Jobard, Beaune Premier Cru, Les Epenotes 6x75cl

The continuation into Beaune of Les Epenots, one of two vineyards in Pommard considered for promotion to Grand Cru status. With the added mid-palate fat and ripeness in Beaune here is a cuvée that delivers superb structure and power, and will age gracefully for a couple of decades. (Mr.Wheeler tasting note)

2021 Claudie Jobard, Pommard, Vieilles Vignes 6x75cl

A great example of the work done in Pommard by quality-conscious producers these days. This once unyielding appellation requiring tons of patience now yields wines of much, much for carefully... extracted fruit, and the result, as can be seen in Claudie’s Pommard Vieilles Vignes, is a pinot that retains natural power and structure from the terroir but also immediately delivers pleasure thanks to the aromatic, expressive style of fruit. A commune to be rediscovered for sure, and this is the perfect place to start. (Mr.Wheeler tasting note)

2021 Claudie Jobard, Pommard Premier Cru, Les Charmots 6x75cl

A remarkable terroir, oriented south/south-east and planted with very old vines (dating back to 1919), producing a tender, rich, concentrated, age-worthy pinot noir.

2021 Claudie Jobard, Bourgogne, Milliane 6x75cl

One of the absolute bargains of our portfolio over the past few years, this cuvée crafted from vines in Pommard has it all; juicy, crunchy fruit, a soft-edged texture and subtly grippy structure to see it through the next 5 years’ ageing. (Mr.Wheeler tasting note)

2021 Claudie Jobard, Rully, Montagne la Folie 6x75cl

One of our best sellers of the past few years, the creamy texture, subtle, classy oak and zingy citrus of the Rully La Montagne have combined to generate an impressive level of loyalty for this cuvée, with clients coming back for more, and more…and just a little more please.
