2019 Chateau Ormes de Pez, Saint-Estephe 6x75cl

VM92
"The 2019 Ormes de Pez is laced with savory herbs, leather, licorice, tobacco, dark fruit and expressive earthy undertones. There is good breadth and plenty of personality leading into the grippy finish. Drink this potent, pleasantly rustic Saint-Estèphe over the next decade or so." 91 pts., Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com

2020 Chateau Ormes de Pez, Saint-Estephe 6x75cl

RP90-92
"Composed of 54% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, to be aged for around 16 months in French oak barriques, 45% new, the 2020 Ormes de Pez has an alcohol of... 13.17%, a pH of 3.69 and an IPT of 79. Deep garnet-purple colored, it springs from the glass with notes of plum preserves, blueberry compote and Morello cherries, plus hints of graphite, wild mushrooms and sautéed herbs. The medium-bodied palate delivers plenty of herbs-laced black fruits with a pleasant chewiness to the texture and lovely freshness, finishing on a lingering fragrant-earth note." 90-92 pts., Lisa Perrotti-Brown, robertparker.com

2022 Chateau Ormes de Pez, Saint-Estephe 6x75cl

"The 2022 Ormes de Pez is matured in 45% new oak for a planned 16 months. It has a perfumed and floral bouquet, quite sensual for a Saint-Estèphe, developing blue fruit with time in the glass. The... oak is neatly enmeshed. The palate is medium-bodied with quite a high-toned and racy opening. Good acidity, the Merlot (51%) occupies the driving seat and ensures its silky-textured finish, a mote of chalk dust on the aftertaste. Just needs its élevage to knit it all together." 92-94, Neal Martin, www.vinous.com
