2024 Le Difese, Tenuta San Guido, Toscana 6x75cl

“The 2024 Le Difese is fresh, bright, and instantly inviting. Aromas of juicy red berries and plums jump out of the glass, followed by floral notes of rose, a hint of spice, and a soft touch of... sweet tobacco . It’s medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, with a smooth, easy flow that makes it a joy to drink even now. While Le Difese is often known for its ripe, fruit-forward style, the 2024 vintage brings a little extra freshness and elegance, giving the wine a lively, classic edge. Made from a 75/25 % blend of sangiovese from around the Chianti region and cabernet sauvignon grown on the estate this vintage really lets the sangiovese shine, adding energy, vibrancy and a sense of place from start to finish. A lovely addition for any medium-term cellar planning and when ready pull a cork for a seamless match to all grilled red meats.” Mr Wheeler Wine

2020 Conti Costanti, Brunello di Montalcino 6x75cl

DE97VM95WA94
"When I tried Costanti’s 2020 Rosso in 2022, Andrea described the vintage as better suited for Brunello given the high dry extract and sturdy structure. Indeed, his 2020 Brunello is one of the... vintage’s anomalies. It possesses rare profundity and decisiveness of tannins. The nose invites with plum blossom, dark currants, mint and an earthy undertow. Upfront tannins are substantial, grainy and crisp, and the sour cherry and cranberry core soars from the depths bringing bitter cocoa, coffee and alpine herbs along for the ride. Juicy acidity rings out and a distinct saltiness permeates the finish. Nevertheless, it is that unwavering backbone that currently commands, promising a long life ahead." 97 points, Michaela Morris, decanter.com

2016 Marroneto, Brunello di Montalcino 6x75cl

VM95
"Il Marroneto's 2016 Brunello di Montalcino is a delicate and heavenly, perfumed beauty. Roses mix with lilac and violets before giving way to a dusting of sweet spice, nuances of plum and white... strawberries. It’s wonderfully pure, seeming almost weightless at times yet with gorgeous inner sweetness and a complex display of bright red fruits laced with minerals, hints of licorice and building florality. The long and classically structured finish guarantees that no matter how enjoyable this may be today, it will only get better." 95 pts., Eric Guido, vinous.com

2023 Antinori, Tignanello, IGT 6x75cl

“A fantastic vintage of this Tuscan superstar, a super Tuscan so clearly and surely but undemonstratively so, with no excess – just poise, harmony, elegance and, above all, finesse. This is... gorgeously beguiling and enticing aromatically, drawing you in to its dark web of berry and stone fruits, graphite, cracked black pepper and subtler floral and herbal notes. I love the little hint of cornflowers, lilac and blueberry. Shimmering in its crystalline purity with the ultra-fine grained, almost glassy, tannins pixilating the mid-palate picking out details as they do so and offering an early glimpse of the staggering complexity and layering of this wine.” 98 points, Prof. Colin Hay, TheDrinksBusiness.com (Mar 2026)
