"Even better than the 2022 release - and that's saying a good deal - this is a superb iteration of luxury group LVMH's iconis Argentinian red. Dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, with support from 40%... Malbec and 3% Petit Verdot, it's dominated by fruit from Las Compuertas, with 20% from cooler Paraje Altamira. Matured in 50% new French oak, it's a wine that's approachable young but will reward patience, with sculpted tannins, seamless layers of cassis, bramble and green herbs, a touch of cigar box and a fine, tapering finish. World class."

"The 2024 Seña continues the excellence that the entire Errázuriz range exhibits in this vintage, offering a graceful, effortless and underrated expression of Aconcagua. A rich bouquet of dark... fruits, fresh herbs and floral notes is brightened by a streak of rising camphor and sweet mint flourishes, introducing a suave, tense and seamless mouthfeel with classical proportions. Ultra-fine tannins and graphite-mineral notes surround the finish, lingering with an extra round of herbal and minty nuances. It is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Malbec, 16% Carmenère and 6% Petit Verdot that matured for 18 months, with 70% of the wine resting in barrels and 30% in foudre—this being the highest percentage to date."

“A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, and 1% Petit Verdot, with a yield of 30 hl/ha and aging in 50% new oak, d’Issan 2022 has a pH of 3.67 and a TPI of... 72. It is deep garnet-purple in color and comes bounding out of the glass with exuberant notes of crème de cassis, baked blackberries, and plum preserves, plus suggestions of tilled soil, clove oil, candied violets, and charcoal. The full-bodied palate has a firm structure of wonderfully ripe, fine-grained tannins and lovely tension supporting the dense, muscular black fruits, with a long finish and loads of floral and mineral sparks. Beautiful!”

“The 2022 Cheval des Andes is a significant upgrade to Mendoza’s historic regional blends, combining grapes from Las Compuertas (Luján de Cuyo) and Paraje Altamira (Uco Valley). The 2022 vintage... allowed for a slower ripening of Cabernet Sauvignon, which take prominence in this blend alongside 30% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot. Aging was carried out in 40% 225-liter Bordeaux barrels, 35% 400-liter barrels and 25% 2,500-liter foudres, with 50% new oak. A bouquet of bright fruit—raspberry, blueberry and delicate cassis—and complementary bay leaf and mint tones give way to a touch of ash and mild bell pepper. Boasting serious concentration, fine tannins and a slight creaminess, the 2022 has a structure that is firm but never tight, maintaining weight without losing balance. The finish is long, energetic and full of flavor. This is an exceptionally beautiful wine.”
