2019 Ben Glaetzer, Amon Ra, Barossa Valley 6x75cl

RP96
"The 2019 Amon Ra Shiraz is 100% Shiraz and 100% from the 2019 vintage, as Ben Glaetzer felt it—unlike many previous vintages—didn't need to be freshened with a small proportion of younger wine.... From old vines in the Ebenezer district of the northern Barossa Valley, it offers classic notes of blackberries and spice, framed by hints of cedar and vanilla (it's aged in 100% new oak hogsheads, mostly French). It's full-bodied yet crisp, supple but tight and really long. Offering lovely dark fruit, hints of espresso and black olive, it finishes mouthwatering and firm. Give it some time in the cellar and drink it from 2025 – 2040." 96+ points, Joe Czerwinski, www.robertparker.com

2018 Leeuwin, Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River 12x75cl

JR17.5
A concentrated and dark nose displaying dense blackcurrants and dark cherries. Heightened floral notes of violets and bay leaf diligently combine with savoury spice notes of black cardamom, anise,... clove and cumin. There is an evident undernote of graphite and flint, providing a very detailed nose. Intensity and density pairs with purity and elegance. Predominately a blackcurrant thread on the palate, there is so much offering in layers. Bold, rich and contoured primary fruits engage with bright, almost mineral acidity, contoured with olive tapenade, iodine and sage. The tannins are silky, finely polishing the shape and finish on the palate. (Leeuwin Estate Tasting Note)

2019 Leeuwin Estate Art Series Shiraz Margaret River 12x75cl

JR17.5
Bright, elegant, and fragrant, the nose has heightened floral notes of violets, lavender, cardamom and pepper medley. The core of fruit is in the line of black cherries and blueberries. Clove,... cinnamon, burnt toffee and petrichor provide delicate complex. Gentle textures, woven layers and bright acidity meet seamlessly. Dense Satsuma plums, redcurrants and raspberries surround the mid palate. Elements of smoked cedar and cracked coffee bean combine with a mineral thread, leading to long structural tannins.

2021 Leeuwin Estate, Art Series Riesling, Margaret River 12x75cl

Incredibly vibrant and expressive on the nose with layers of lemon flesh, lime juice, apples and grapefruit at the forefront. Elevated and lifted notes of lemon myrtle, sweet jasmine, kaffir lime... leaf, coriander seed and sea spray promote the purity and clarity. Lively and concentrated palate with focus and finesse. Cut lime and lemon zest meet with minerality and a tightly coiled acid structure. A saline thread is evident throughout with delicate and textural layers towards the crisp and talc-like finish.

2017 Henschke Hill of Grace Shiraz Eden Valley 3x75cl

"The original circa-1860 plantings are supplemented by centenarian vines and some other old vines (at least 35 years of age), but all on their own roots from the original vineyard. Despite massive... expectations and perhaps a more challenging vintage, the 2017 Hill of Grace Shiraz doesn't disappoint, delivering ample weight, richness and expansiveness on the palate, coupled with impressive structure and length. Complex scents of camphor, raspberries and mulberries appear on the nose, alongside hints of sage, black olives and licorice, while the tannic, softly dusty finish lingers, suggesting plenty of longevity—20-plus years should be no problem for this beauty."
