2019 Wynns, Cabernet Sauvignon Black Label, Coonawarra 6x75cl

DE95JR17.5
“The 64th vintage of this wine, and everything about this is magnificent. It is desperately classy and much more grand, seasoned and noble than expected. Bygone vintages have tended to err on the... muscular side of the tracks, but not anymore. This is a thoroughly civilised Cabernet with a finely tuned alcohol level, expressive, refreshing fruit and a heroically long finish.” 95 pts., Matthew Jukes, decanter.com.

2003 Chateau Musar, Red 6x75cl

VM92
“The 2003 Chateau Musar is a very pretty, aromatic wine. Rosewater, dried flowers, orange peel and cinnamon all open up in the bouquet. The 2003 is an attractive, translucent Musar that should... drink well for another decade or more. Ripe red cherry, kirsch, hard candy and mint linger. The 2003 opens up nicely, but remains a decidedly delicate in build.” Drink 2020-2028. 92 pts., Antonio Galloni, vinous.com

2004 Chateau Musar, Red 6x75cl

DE91
“A beautiful development of mature red cherries, plums and sweet spice, showing more concentration than the average Musar, but it is still restrained. The weighty palate is moreish, showing the... richness of fruit with a tight structure of tannins. Overall it's a more robust style, yet seductive and refined too.” Drink 2017-2025.91 pts., Christine Guibert, decanter.com.

2010 Chateau Musar, Red 6x75cl

JR18
“Bright ruby. Heady, rich and gamey on the nose. Very hedonistic and accessible on the nose with real density and lifted slight gaminess. An attractive singed character on top of very ripe fruit.... Great balance and freshness (but not excessive acidity) on the finish. Very neat on the end. Something rather wild and Romany about this. Already accessible even if I'm sure it will develop even more complex tertiary aromas.” 18 pts., Jancis Robinson

2018 Chateau Musar, Red 6x75cl

“The 2018 vintage has a deep garnet colour in the glass with dried cherries and mature red fruits on the nose. The palate is rich and concentrated with cranberries, raisins, and dates; there is... good acidity with fine tannins. It has an enticing smoky, dusty fruit with soft liquorice undertones and at 6 years of age upon release, it is already developed and mature.” (Chateau Musar)

2021 Fattoria Le Pupille, Maremma Toscana, Saffredi 6x75cl

RP97
"The Fattoria le Pupille 2021 Saffredi is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot that offers seamless integration of dark fruit flavors that bleed directly into spice, Tuscan cigar... and earthy iris root. This vintage is compact and firm, especially in terms of mouthfeel, and there are graceful floral tones to close. The winery team has been tweaking the oak regime, landing on 60% to 65% new oak complemented by once-used barrels. They've been working in this manner since 2019 to establish sweet and integrated tannins." 97 pts., Monica Larner, robertparker.com

2022 Domaine Michel Magnien, Chambolle-Musigny, Les Fremieres 6x75cl

"Captivating aromas of raspberry and pomegranate jus and subtle earthiness. On the palate, silky, juicy, succulent red-berry and black-cherry fruit, vibrant, mouth-watering acidity, flecks of... minerality a beautifully refined grip and more succulence on the finish. Overwhelmingly delicious, where élevage in both used oak and clay jar has captured a thrilling purity of fruit and terroir expression." (Mr.Wheeler)

2022 Sylvie Esmonin, Gevrey-Chambertin, Vieillles Vignes 6x75cl

"Another rich deep purple. The barrel toast speaks quite loudly on the nose. There is a weight of fruit here that appeals, more density through the middle, dark raspberry with a tarry touch, but the whole flows evenly across the palate." 90-92 pts., Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com

2022 Sylvie Esmonin, Cote de Nuits-Villages, Rouge 6x75cl

JM89-91
"A rich intense purple with a more complete bouquet. As follows also in the mouth, though the stems still firm up the finish. Here, though, a wealth of raspberry and blackberry fruit returns to complete the wine. There is certainly plenty to this." 89-91 pts., Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com

2022 Sylvie Esmonin, Bourgogne, Cuvee Sylvie 6x75cl

JM86-88
"Despite the ripeness always has a good acidity. Deep dark purple, slightly more density of fruit. Still a firm framework behind, strictly structured yet with a natural 13% and plenty of fruit. The sample is on the cold side so may well appear fuller than this when warm." 86-88 pts., Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com

2019 Altesino, Brunello di Montalcino, Montosoli 6x75cl

RP97VM97
“An enticing blend of steeped plums, blood orange, sage and sweet smoke makes the 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Montosoli a total pleasure on the nose. Elegant and soothing, it flows across the... palate with a silken wave of ripe red fruits and spices as saline minerals slowly saturate under an air of violet inner florals. The 2019 is seamless and harmonious, leaving a coating of edgy tannins to contend with a bump of refreshing acidity as suggestions of tart cranberry and a bitter tinge of clove slowly taper off. This is Montosoli terroir at its very best, and even at this early stage, it's impossible to resist pouring another glass.” 97 pts., Eric Guido, vinous.com

2019 Altesino, Brunello di Montalcino 6x75cl

RP95VM94
“A dark ruby color in the glass, the 2019 Brunello di Montalcino opens with a beguiling blend of dusty earth, crushed rocks, savory herbs and dried roses. This is racy and sleek, with vividly ripe... wild berry fruits elevated by orange and sage, all guided by vibrant acidity. Grippy tannins take control through the finish, yet the mouth is left watering for more as a bitter licorice tinge and dark chocolate adds a crunchy sensation.”

2022 Domaine Joseph Voillot, Bourgogne, Rouge 6x75cl

The entire Voillot range shines in 2022, and recent acclaim from no less a critic than Neal Martin has not caused Etienne to deviate from his modest and highly sensible approach to the management of... the estate. As a result, the value delivered by Domaine Joseph Voillot is nigh on unbeatable across the portfolio. The Bourgogne rouge is the perfect cuvée to discover the domaine, so fresh and juicy, with crunchy red fruit, subtle floral notes, and just a hint of winter spice in the background. Such a fine texture, too, yet for all its prettiness and delicacy it lingers satisfyingly on the finish. We often call this a baby Volnay, and the moniker is, once again, an apt description. 2018 Pol Roger, Brut Vintage 6x75cl

VM93
"The 2018 Vintage is a very pretty, open-knit Champagne to drink now and over the next 10-15 years. In a vintage in which so many wines are on the lighter side, the 2018 is super-expressive, with... lovely depth and impeccable balance. The 2018 can be enjoyed now, but I would prefer to cellar it for a year or two. Hints of pear, dried flowers, kirsch and mint are nicely layered on a spine of fruit and structure." 93 pts., Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com

2017 Chateau Latour Premier Cru Classe, Pauillac 6x75cl

VM97WI98
“The 2017 Latour, which was bottled mid-June and mid-July, has a tightly wound bouquet with black fruit, pencil lead and a strong marine influence. This is utterly compelling. The palate is... medium-bodied with fine tannins, what you may call an "athletic" Latour. There is no "fat" hear, just pure black mineral-infused fruit with quintessential Pauillac notes of graphite and a touch of cedar on the persistent finish. Superb. Drink 2024-2060.” 97 pts., Neal Martin, vinous.com (March 2020), February 2020 “A blend of 92.1% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7.8% Merlot, and 0.1% Petit Verdot, the 2017 Latour is deep garnet in color. It needs just a bit of convincing to get it to reveal gorgeous notes of warm cassis, black raspberries, and juicy black plums, plus wafts of violets, licorice, and cumin seed with a hint of cedar chest. The medium-bodied palate expands as the nuanced mineral, black fruit, and earthy layers unfurl, beautifully framed by ever-so-plush tannins and amazing tension, finishing long and perfumed. This is such a gorgeous Latour!” 98 pts., Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, The Wine Independent, December 2022

2021 Sassicaia, Tenuta San Guido, Bolgheri 3x150cl

RP100
"Here it is: A quintessential Sassicaia that represents the excellence of the vintage and also respects the unique taste profile of this distinguished Tuscan blend of Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc.... The Tenuta San Guido 2021 Bolgheri Sassicaia offers impeccable balance, excellent freshness and absolutely no signs of over-ripeness. The fruit balance is ideal with a hint of crunch and lasting tension from pulp and skins. The tannins are deftly managed with firm grip and enough velvetiness to add volume and length. There is no greenness on the bouquet that instead offers mulled herbs and spice, with cinnamon and clove, layered delicately between mostly red and some purple berry fruits. Redcurrant, blueberry, sweet pomegranate and Rainier cherry run strong in this vintage. A fragrant hint of heritage rose emerges with time. The oak tones are geared toward gingerbread, hazelnut, cigar, sandalwood and something like a grilled sweet red pepper. To the palate, it offers nice weight with no heavy glycerin, and a rinse of acidity that adds to the wine’s natural energy, brightness and viscosity. That marked freshness opens the wine up to long aging potential, but you still need to give it more time in bottle." 100 pts., Monica Larner, robertparker.com

2022 Chateau Senejac, Haut-Medoc 12x75cl

RP90-92
"The 2022 Sénéjac is one of the best wines that this northern Médoc cru Bourgeois has produced in the last decade or two. Offering up aromas of cherries, dark berries, peonies and pencil shavings,... it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and succulent, with a rich core of fruit, supple tannins and a persistent finish." 90-92 pts., William Kelley, robertparker.com

2022 Guidalberto, Tenuta San Guido, Toscana 6x75cl

JS94
“Deep and vibrant ruby red with oodles of vibrant juiciness already jumping out of the glass. Hints of toasted oak and some underlying herb notes with elegance and finesse flowing through on the... ripe mulberry and cherry palate. There is a forgiving tug of tannin to frame the beautiful structure and it is judiciously made, ambitious and age-worthy yet keeping early approachability in mind - while, if you’re lucky enough, you wait for its big brother Sassicaia to unfold”. Drink 2026 to 2035+ Mr Wheeler "Lots of mint with sage and fresh rosemary to the currant and orange character on the nose, as well as some ripe raspberries. The palate is very refined with creamy and crunchy tannins that run the length of the wine. It shows a crunchy and energetic personality. Give it a year or two to come together, but it’s showing brightness for the vintage. Drink after 2027" 94 points, James Suckling
