2023 Chateau Potensac, Medoc 6x75cl

"The 2023 Potensac has a well-defined nose: predominantly black fruit, with touches of seaweed in the background. I warm to it more with acquaintance, and it gradually coheres. The palate is... medium-bodied with pliant tannins and a fine line of acidity. Silky-smooth in texture, you can tell that there is some quality new oak on the finish, which is simpatico with the fruit. It's a good, solid Potensac that will require three or four years in bottle. 2023 Chateau Malartic Lagraviere Cru Classe, Pessac-Leognan 6x75cl

"Excellent vintage at Malartic, rich plum colour, cocoa bean, black chocolate, anis and fennel, this is skilfully constructed. Peony and iris notes arrive through the mid palate, giving a focus on... savoury Cabernet, cassis bud, mint leaf, elegant and well measured. You can see the building blocks and feel totally confident about how well it will develop over the next decade and beyond - suggest waiting at least six to eight years before opening. Great stuff from the Bonnie family, who continue to make this an unmissable Pessac. 38.95hl/ha yield." 95 points., Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux

2019 Henschke, Keyneton Euphonium, Barossa 6x75cl

“A rich, deep nose of sweet, ripe plum and blackcurrant, with mocha. The palate is drier – not as ripe or plush as the nose suggests. Although it's just 25% of the blend, the Cabernet Sauvignon... leads with vivid, fresh blackcurrant and cassis notes plus tobacco and graphite undertones. The plum emerges with air and has a certain viscosity, but not the sweetness of jam. Dusty tannins firm up on the finish.” Drink 2024-2039 93 points, Sarah Ahmed, “The 2019 Keyneton Euphonium leads with dried rose petals and pomegranate molasses, sumac, bone broth and salted licorice. In the mouth, the wine has a salty, soy/Lion's Mane character, alongside the cassis and bramble. The wine is lighter and finer than I would expect from this season, and it has a silky flow in the mouth. It has an Italianate character to the wine: it is savory and spicy, with very fine acidity and some floral high notes here. 14.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.” Drink 2024-2039 92 points, Erin Larkin, “Full screwcapped bottle 1,233 g. 52% Shiraz, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc and 11% Merlot grown in the Barossa (Eden Valley and Barossa Valley regions). Harvest 26 February to 16 April. Matured in 17% new and 83% seasoned (80% French, 20% American) oak hogsheads for 18 months prior to blending and bottling. TA 6.1 g/l, pH 3.59. The 2015 was a wine of the week in 2020. Transparent, shaded garnet. Very mellow, well-integrated blend. Very luxuriously textured. Well-judged blend that's already approachable. Blackcurrants, blackberries and sagebrush. Lots of drive and when you taste this, you do wonder where they are going to go next, upwards the price scale. What's wrong with this? Many congratulations to the Henschke family and their growers. Very long. Went beautifully with roast beef.” Drink 2024-2034 17.5 points, Jancis Robinson MW,

2013 Henschke, Mount Edelstone Shiraz, Eden Valley 6x75cl

“This Museum & Rare Collection release maintains a firm but fine backbone of polished tannins which, together with the youthful primary fruit (predominantly black), brings potency and great... presence to the palate. Sage, winter greens and underripe strawberry lend nuance and freshness. There is subtle viscosity too, with tertiary tapenade character and nutty, savoury oak. But there's plenty of mileage here too, with mouth-coating tannins and cleansing acidity to the finish.” Drink 2024-2043 97 pts., Sarah Ahmed, “The 2013 Mount Edelstone Vineyard Shiraz hails from a drought year—it was tough. In fact, the 2014 Edelstone was released before the 2013. Yet now, we look at this wine, 11 years from harvest, and the wine is svelte and seamless in its flow of flavor across the palate, with pomegranate molasses, alpine mint, dried herbs, a hint of arnica, rose petals and black cherry. It is chewy, elegant and spiced. It's a lovely wine that has decades to go. 14.5% alcohol, sealed under Vinolok. As it happens, the 2024 vintage is Henschke's 156th vintage. Pretty remarkable.” Drink 2024-2048 96+ pts., Erin Larkin,

2023 Chateau Batailley 5eme Cru Classe, Pauillac 6x75cl

"Dark purple colour with violet hue and almost black core. Very densely woven nose with aroma reminiscent of blackcurrants, blackcurrant spurs, ripe blackberries and elderberries, fine toasting,... subtle oak. A wine with elegance, purity and great freshness, precision and purity. On the palate well balanced with ripe tannins, finely grained, complemented by juicy fruit quoting the nose, excellent structure and length. Another great Batailley." 96 pts., Markus del Monego MW, MS "Beautiful fruit with currants and blackberries, as well as notes of walnuts and chocolate. So much blackberry fruit here. Aromatic. Medium- to full-bodied with very fine tannins on the deep and structured palate. Racy and long finish. 79% cabernet sauvignon, 19% merlot and 2% petit verdot." 95-96 pts., James Suckling.,

2023 Chateau Angludet, Margaux 6x75cl

“Yields were impacted dramatically for organically and biodynamically-run vineyards in 2023, and the crop at Angludet was more than halved compared to an average year, which resulted in an... impressively intense and concentrated cuvée. Expressive on the nose, it follows on the palate with a gloriously seductive, velvety texture and opulent mix of blackcurrant liqueur, gentle winter spice and juicy blueberries on the finish. Lovely, fine-grained tannins give it a classy structure. Absolutely delicious." Mr Wheeler Note

“…A red that has established an enviable reputation in just three vintages, this sings of its site on the corner of the Helderberg. Partnering Cabernet Franc with 26% Merlot and 9% Cabernet... 2020 Domaine Albert Bichot (Long-Depaquit), Chablis Grand Cru, Moutonne 6x75cl

*ON ALLOCATION - £570 per case of 6 bottles IB* Domaine Long-Depaquit can be traced back to 1791 when Jean Depaquit and his brother Simon moved to Chablis. They purchased vineyards and developed... their domaine into one of the most renowned producers of Chablis today. Now owned by Albert Bichot in Beaune, Domaine Long-Depaquit offers an impressive range of Premier and Grand Crus. A sustainable approach, limited yields and skilful winemaking creates incredibly invigorating and mineral-edged wines. ‘La Moutonne’, a monopole in the heart of the Grand Cru vineyards, between Vaudésir and Les Preuses is one of their most celebrated cuvées, known for its incredible precision, elegance and staying power. Whichever cuvée you choose, these are delicious, mineral rich Chardonnays of the highest order. Opening the proceedings at a Bichot tasting in London, the 2020 La Moutonne quite simply blew us away. Crushed oyster shell and citrus on the nose, followed on the palate by a superb energy with an exquisite texture. Laser-like, yet with excellent weight and power on the long finish, this is very, very special.

2019 Wynns, Cabernet Sauvignon Black Label, Coonawarra 6x75cl

“The 64th vintage of this wine, and everything about this is magnificent. It is desperately classy and much more grand, seasoned and noble than expected. This is a thoroughly civilised Cabernet with a finely tuned alcohol level, expressive, refreshing fruit and a heroically long finish.” 95 pts., Matthew Jukes,
